The NUJ’s London freelance branch is holding a meeting to provide advice and information on getting a book published.

The meeting is aimed at freelance journalists interested in diversifying their skills by writing books. It will cover pitching skills, structure dos and don'ts, finding gaps in the market, mistakes to watch out for and where to get advice on ideas.

Event speakers will include Matthew Hamilton of literary agent Aitken Alexander Associates, whose clients include London Freelance branch members who have recently successfully diversified into writing books.

The meeting will be held at Friends' Meeting House, Euston Road, London, on Monday September 14 from 7pm to 9pm. For more information visit the Branch's calendar page or contact the NUJ's freelance office on 020 7843 3735.
