NW (New Woman) Magazine website will re-launch by January to place user interaction and content at its core.
NW launched a mini-site as part of the revamp of the magazine's new 'Style Stalker' supplement, last week, but more wholesale changes will come in the next two months.
The newly launched online 'Style Stalker' will undergo a 'massive' overhaul, according to NW publisher Lisa Herron, to become a hub of fashion gossip and product news and reviews.
This will eventually include allowing users to pinpoint fashion shops and exchange fashion gossip and shopping advice about their local area using a Google Maps mash-up.
The 'Rate My Style' section, which allows readers to upload pictures of themselves for an assessment of their look by other readers, will also be developed to include more interactive elements.
Plans for a 'Man Stalker' site are also in development, which Ms Herron said, could include interactive maps on which readers could plot the best locations to meet men in their local area.
A 'Rate My Man section', along similar lines to 'Rate My Style', could also being in the offing, added Ms Herron.
"The website has been around for 10 years; we are one of the longest-running magazine websites, but it has always had the same kind of branding as the magazine. The advent of Web 2.0 means we have really had to address our platforms," said Ms Herron.
"For the magazine, we have had to address that by having a separate Style Stalker magazine, a fast news section and by changing its name to NW to make it more punchy and approachable for younger readers.
"For the website, Style Stalker is going to be a daily hit of things that are in fashion, on sale, or launching that day."
