"The world is going from a garden in which a thousand flowers bloomed, to the world of apps and limited access," said Emily Bell, director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism, in her opening speech at news:rewired last week.
She kicked off a day of panels and workshops, covering topics such as using comments to build engaged communities, approaching live news, how to find and tell stories on social media and exploring the potential of virtual reality in news.
