In this week’s podcast, we turn our attention to South America, speaking to Catalina Lobo-Guerrero, Spanish editor for the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN), after the event.
She talked to Journalism.co.uk about the reporting conditions and day-to-day battles journalists face in countries such as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Mexico and Brazil, where hostility and censorship are among the tactics to silence news organisations seeking to report on corruption and state failures.
