Free-from brand Creative Nature, based in Surrey and born out of the founder’s frustration at the lack of healthy and tasty ‘free-from’ food, has won three major awards in one week.

In seven days, the team, who are based in West Molesey, have won the titles:

*Micro Business of the Year in the British Small Business Awards.

*Best Sweet Snack in the Good Choice Quality Food Awards for their Goji Goodness Flapjack.

*Best Ethical Brand SME Exporter in The Telegraph Trade Awards.

Julianne Ponan, CEO of Creative Nature, said:

“These awards all coming in one week makes the hard work of the team so worthwhile. It means our credibility and our status as a serious brand in the free-from sector is continuing to grow. Coupled with our Seedrs crowdfunding campaign which is exceeding our expectations, this last few weeks have been fantastic for us all. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our journey so far.”

Creative Nature’s small team operates from offices in West Molesey and supply ‘free from’ snack bars, baking mixes and superfoods to people who are – or who choose to be – gluten free, dairy free and nut free.

Their products are stocked in Asda, Sainsbury’s and the Co-Op, through various independent outlets and can also be bought directly. The products are created from their manufacturing facility in Wales and are now exported to countries including Switzerland, Iceland, Jordan, Malta and Brunei.

Creative Nature is a brand borne out of the difficulties founder Julianne faces every day around food. She suffers from a severe allergy to nuts, some seeds and certain additives which was discovered when she was a toddler. She has been in intensive care several times in her life and has to watch what she eats and drinks carefully.

It was the challenge of finding nut-free, additive- free healthy snacks available on the market that led her to create her own. She experimented with the addition of superfood ingredients to improve the nutrient value, testing the flavours on the streets of her home town of Walton On Thames.

Creative Nature has achieved rapid success. Soon after launching its first product to over 2,000 Co-op stores in 2017, it had become one of their three best-selling healthy snacks.

Creative Nature now has a range of more than 25 baking mixes, green powder, healthy flapjack bars, superfood powder, wholefood and breakfast topping products.
