Aaron Lee, founder of Alchem Trading, has joined Nu-Insight to help address the need for specialised learning and development in the chemical sector
Aaron Lee, founder of Alchem Trading Ltd, has officially joined Nu-Insight as managing partner, marking a significant collaboration to address the pressing need for specialised learning and development in the chemical sector.
He joins founding partner Marthinus Loubser and Commercial Partner Alison Taylor, who is also joining the team, in this endeavour
With nearly 15 years of experience in procuring and distributing chemical materials for the cosmetics industry and beyond, Aaron established Alchem Trading in 2023 with a vision to simplify and innovate chemical procurement. Over the past year, he has successfully positioned his company as a trusted player in the industry, known for reliability and transparency, while securing significant contracts in chemical distribution.
Aaron’s decision to partner with Nu-Insight comes in response to the lack of tailored training solutions within the chemical industry, where generic programmes often fall short. His role will sit alongside his work within his own company.
“After months of hard work, I'm excited to collaborate with Marthinus and Alison to fill a critical gap in our field,” said Aaron.
“I’ve experienced firsthand the limitations of formal training, which often lacks relevance to our industry's unique challenges. Nu-Insight aims to change that by providing specialised training programmes designed specifically for the chemical sector.”
Nu-Insight is a learning and talent development company founded by Marthinus Loubser, dedicated to delivering tailored training solutions. With more than 50 years of combined expertise, the ‘new’ Nu-Insight team understands that effective training is a vital tool for companies to navigate the complex landscape of stringent regulations, compliance costs, and evolving consumer demands for sustainability and ethical practices.
“Aaron’s approach to Nu-Insight and the flagship sales programme is incredibly effective, especially with its focus on in-depth prospecting, customer engagement, and practical negotiation skills,” said Marthinus.
“The emphasis on tailored strategies for the chemical industry and supply chain shows a keen understanding of the unique challenges and needs in this field. We are extremely privileged to have Aaron join our team as Managing Partner to lead us into the next chapter.”
Nu-Insight has launched its inaugural programme, Specialist Sales Training for the Chemical Industry, tailored to address the sector’s unique needs. Each course is customised to a client’s team, focusing on its strengths and goals for immediate impact. Hands-on, interactive sessions ensure delegates gain practical skills they can directly apply, with ongoing coaching and assessments providing sustained, personalised development beyond the initial training.
Alison said: “The chemical industry is a key part of the UK economy, employing more than 500,000 people. Despite its importance, there’s a gap in training that addresses its unique challenges.
“We identified the need for tailored programmes, and the positive feedback from clients confirms our solution-driven approach is exactly what the sector needs to thrive. We’re excited to continue empowering teams and driving growth in the industry.”
Aaron will continue to lead Alchem Trading Ltd, ensuring a strong focus on both companies as they work together to reshape the landscape of chemical procurement and training.
