Leading academic school holiday specialist Academic Camp welcomed hundreds of students from around the world this summer to London, the South-West and Canada.
Academic Camp is an independent organisation offering academic camps across the UK and in Canada during school holidays to students from the UK and overseas who want new educational experiences to help them achieve their goals.
Founded by Helen Lami in 2008, the company aimed to redefine the summer camp experience by creating courses with an academic focus while maintaining a fun and immersive approach.
That summer, students from diverse backgrounds headed to London to participate in Academic Camp's programmes held at DLD College and David Game College. Both locations provided an exceptional blend of academic excellence and cultural exploration, resulting in an unforgettable experience.
Helen Lami, Founder of Academic Camp said: "We were thrilled to host students from all corners of the globe this summer. Our programmes not only offer exceptional academic learning but also immersed students in London’s rich landscape. It was a pleasure to witness the growth and connections formed by our participants."
All summer Academic Camp offered programmes designed for Adventurers (7-12), Explorers (12-14), and Engagers (15-17), captivating students with both educational and cultural activities.
Adventurers (aged 7-12) engaged in project-based, cross-curricular activities that sparked creativity and critical thinking.
Explorers (aged 12-14) and Engagers (aged 15-17) had the opportunity to select from streams in STEAM, Social Studies, or Arts, aligning their studies with their personal interests.
Career Pathways provided students with opportunities to explore career options in medicine, engineering, law and entrepreneurship through immersive industry experiences and insightful career guidance.
The Engagers' programme allowed students to dive deeper into A-Level subjects with personalised timetables, exploring subjects like applied Mmathematics, art, computer science, and more, while enhancing their study skills and practical knowledge.
The specialist camps in Canada offer an in-depth exploration of STEAM, speech and debate, and entrepreneurship, with the latter being taught by the CEO herself. International students study alongside locals, gaining an authentic glimpse into the life of a Canadian high school student.
All campuses are exceptional. In London, Westminster, students enjoy modern accommodations and classrooms situated at the foot of Westminster Bridge, providing a unique and comfortable learning environment amidst historical landmarks. The program fosters not only academic growth but also a deep appreciation of London's cultural heritage, building global connections and creating cherished memories.
At London, Westminster, students aged 14-17 participate in transformative programs, thanks to a strategic partnership with Academic Camp. The two summer programmes offered are Career Pathways and Engagers. The vibrant setting of David Game College, nestled in the heart of London, provides access to the city’s financial district, historical landmarks, and cultural treasures, enriching the students' summer experience.
In Canada, students enjoy the beautiful woodland campus of Rothesay Netherwood. During their spare time, they can hike, go wild swimming in rivers, lakes, and the sea, whale-watch, and embark on timber top adventures.
Last but not least, Academic Camp's flagship camp at Sidcot School offers top-notch sports facilities and ample opportunities to enjoy the expansive campus, which even has its own residential horses. The camp ensures safety and security for all students.
Academic Camp offers innovative and engaging academic summer programmes across the UK and Canada. By combining educational focus with immersive experiences, Academic Camp remained dedicated to preparing students for future success in a globally connected world.
