Dine Time Ltd

Three main category awards were presented:

  • Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea – The Georgian, Harrods, London
  • Best Traditional Afternoon Tea – Corinthia London
  • Best Themed Afternoon Tea – Original Sweet Shop Afternoon Tea at The Chesterfield Mayfair London

A team of independent judges looked at all aspects of the afternoon tea experience, from making a booking, to paying the bill, with a strong focus on the presentation and service.

An ‘Award of Excellence’ was also presented to 26 venues that the judges considered to have delivered the highest standards in afternoon tea service.

Keith Newton, Managing Director of AfternoonTea.co.uk said “In these difficult times of rising costs and price increases, value for money is more important than ever.”

He added, “I was delighted that our judges think that all our award winners offer good value for money. That value isn’t just about the food on offer, but also the service and all the elements that go into making afternoon tea such a wonderful experience.”

The Georgian, Harrods - Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea

The judges said: “The presentation showcased skill, creativity, and artistry. The experience was a pleasure from the first moment to the last.”

Corinthia London - Best Traditional Afternoon Tea

The judges said: “A really impressive afternoon tea experience, in a glamorous setting. Well done, this is a great afternoon tea.”

Original Sweet Shop Afternoon Tea at The Chesterfield Mayfair - Best Themed Afternoon Tea

The judges said: “Very impressed by the level of service and inventiveness on display. You could see and feel that the staff here are very happy and passionate about the tea service.”
