Southbourne, England – November 27, 2012 – The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has announced changes to the Estate Agent’s Act of 1979. These changes place web-based intermediaries outside the scope of the Estate Agent's Act, and they also reduce regulation requirements placed on those businesses. Whilst the aim of the BIS was to help stimulate the housing market, it may also hurt many buyers and sellers who will use the Internet to help them buy or sell an estate.

A local estate and letting services agency, Newstead, has responded to these changes by developing an innovative solution that will appeal to many who are planning to sell their home. Their current offer is to charge a flat fee for their services in lieu of the more pricey commissions that are typically charged by estate agents. Sellers can choose to pay an up-front fee of £999 for listing a property with Newstead Estate and Letting Agents, or they can pay £1999 upon completion of the sale of their home.

When asked about what set Newstead apart from their competition, Carl Mirauer, managing director of the agency, declared, "At Newstead, we work very differently than most estate and letting agents. By striving to provide our clients with an unparalleled level of service, we have scrapped the usual ‘nine-to-five’ working hours. We are available seven days a week, and will endeavour to deal with your enquiries any time of the day."

Residents of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch can take advantage of the services provided by Newstead. Whether it’s being available for clients during a holiday weekend or taking care of an emergency repair for a renter quickly and efficiently, the agents at Newstead are ready and willing to take on to the challenge.
