With budget constraints and a growing concern over the effectiveness of antibiotics, the UK NHS still spends over £1billion on infection control each year in the fight against deadly and evolving pathogens such as MRSA, C.difficile, E.coli, Norovirus and new Influenza variants.
They need more affordable decontamination products; with clinically proven results that work in a wider range of health care environments and that are safe for both patients and staff.
Having previously provided innovative infection control solutions to over 40 NHS hospitals, the staff at Gienie Limited have responded to this challenge by developing Gienie clinical.
Gienie clinical is a range of products that includes an aerosol canister based ‘Press & Leave’ dispersal system and a multi-surface spray. Both products can kill 99.999% of all major pathogens at a lower cost than comparable products, using Syproxil® a clinically and independently proven non-toxic, non-corrosive biocide.
Commenting on the launch Alan Wright, Managing Director at Gienie Limited said “Up to now highly effective decontamination products were expensive, had associated health and safety issues, required trained staff and would only work in limited environments. We knew all about these issues because we constantly talk to hospital staff so I am really pleased that after two years of development we can now deliver what the NHS is calling for”
The Gienie clinical product is now available to purchase through a select network of Distributors. More information can be found at http://www.gieneltd.com/gienie-clinical
