Creative Nature, the free-from food company recently named the UK’s Small Business of the Year, has seen investors flock to support its future growth plan.
Just ten days after launching a crowd-funding model for investment with the platform Seedrs – the target of raising £350,000 is already in sight. At time of writing Creative Nature’s plan for growth is now 93 per cent funded with 241 separate investors, large and small.
Julianne Ponan, CEO, said: “We cannot thank everyone enough for coming on board and trusting us to see through our plans for growth. It’s humbling that people want to be part of our journey and trust us to commit to our plans and to our business ethics around sustainability and being as green as possible.”
The campaign was launched to the public on Monday August 20 and runs for 60 days until Friday October 19 2018. In the first week, the campaign attracted more investors than any other active campaign during that first seven days. The Creative Nature team have to hit the £350,000 target to get the funding.
“This funding will allow us to develop new products, increase brand awareness which is critical to expansion and grow our team,” Julianne said.
The early success of the crowd-funding project comes in the same week that CEO Julianne Ponan was announced as a finalist in the 2018 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards for London & the South East.
She’s been shortlisted for her efforts to turn around a struggling company to the profitable brand offering a range of snack bars, baking mixes and superfoods. Products are stocked in Asda, The Co-Op, Sainsbury’s, TK Maxx and many others. The team exports to countries including Malta, Iceland and Jordan.
