International communication and influence expert, Jose Ucar, has been shortlisted for The Leadership Book of the Year Award at the upcoming Leadership Awards 2024 for his best selling book, Global Influence.
This award recognises exceptional works that contribute significantly to the field of leadership and help shape the future of effective communication in business.
Known for his extensive experience in global communication and leadership, Jose has spent more than a decade working with renowned brands such as Procter & Gamble and SEAT CUPRA. He specialises in providing actionable strategies for effective communication, cultural bridging, and positive influence.
Jose’s credentials extend beyond his role as a communication expert and author. He is also a TEDx speaker, host, and speaking coach, with a reputation for guiding leaders to achieve impactful communication and leadership. His contributions have been featured in prominent publications such as Yahoo Finance, Yahoo News, LA Weekly, and The Influencer Age, solidifying his position as a leading voice in global communication. His book Global Influence has already been translated into several languages across the world, most recently into Turkish.
“Global Influence is a practical guide for leaders navigating the complexities of global communication,” said Jose. “In it, I explore what it means to lead effectively across borders and how to communicate with clarity in diverse cultural settings. I delve into the challenges leaders face, including fear and the pressure to conform, which can dilute authenticity. My goal is to empower leaders with the strategies they need to inspire and motivate in our interconnected world.”
The Leadership Awards are organised by the Institute of Leadership, which is dedicated to promoting excellence in leadership practices. As one of their three flagship events held each year, the Leadership Awards celebrate innovative and impactful leadership across various sectors.
The awards ceremony is a highlight of the year, honouring those who have made significant contributions to the field and inspiring the next generation of leaders. The event attracts participants from more than 14 countries, creating a global community that promotes collaboration, learning, and the sharing of best practices in leadership.
“Being shortlisted for this award is a tremendous honour,” said Jose. “It reaffirms my belief that effective communication is at the heart of successful leadership, especially in our globalised world. I hope that Global Influence continues to inspire leaders to embrace their authenticity and communicate with confidence.”
Jose, who is based in London, can support any team or leader in improving their communication and leadership skills, with a specialisation in helping businesses that operate across multiple countries and cultures. His book has already made waves internationally, recently launching in Turkish, which further broadens its reach and potential impact on global leaders.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 15 November being held at the Hilton London Bankside, that will bring together leaders from various sectors.
