London, UK -- June, 2014 – Computer ConQuest has announced the launch of its software business (Rummage), poised to dedicate itself to revolutionising the way users retrieve files from their devices, using a more "human" and 21st Century method.
After planning, research and design work, Rummage took 18 months to develop from the brains of its two founders – and their two employees – leading to its Alpha platform, ready for free download for early adopters, from the company website www.getRummage.com.
The software uses automated tags and keywords based on each file’s unique content, enabling users to locate exact files very quickly using ‘human like’ parameters. The basic ‘tagging’ feature has been developed by various companies in the past, most notably “Tabbles.net” – but only Rummage has been able to unlock this revolutionary methodology at such an advanced level, making file retrieval human-like.
For example, if you are looking for a “crab cake” recipe document saved somewhere on your PC – simply type in "crab cakes" into the user interface; the software then helps you to refine your search by providing related tags for any documents containing those keywords, such as "six months ago" "LinkedIn" "from John Doe" “Word document” to select. Rummage uses the immense amount of data and contacts on a user’s device to provide a real-life way of retrieving the relevant files.
"We wanted to solve a common problem that everyone seems to encounter," says Ben Lange, Marketing Manager at Rummage. In the field of Information Technology, the Company is responding to a plethora of users’ difficulties dealing with vast amounts of documents received on a daily basis.
Lange continues with "our belief is that any file should be readily accessible to a user regardless of how much knowledge the user boasts about the file, where the file is stored, the file origin and application required to edit the file."
Early adopters of the software are asked for their feedback and suggestions to help enable the development to release an even more streamlined Beta version by the close of 2014.

Information About the Business & Team:
Please watch this video, which explains how the software works: www.getRummage.com/screencast.
With its clean interface, our platform is uniquely set up to give you access to your files. Imagine having all the information you need for any conversation waiting on your desk. That's what this intuitive program does for you. Instead of having a folder structure, which computers like, Rummage helps you organise your files the way you actually think about them.
The software uses retrospective tagging, meaning new tags are automatically added to all existing files in the index database – Rummage automates most of its operations and aims to make the user experience as easy as possible, without the need for constant manual updates to be performed.
The best part is that Rummage doesn't force someone else's idea of organisation on you. Everyone is different, and the program learns from you to help you keep things organised in a way that makes sense for you. Straight out of the box, this responsive software begins to learn from the way you use your documents to help you retrieve them.

Computer ConQuest was founded in 2004 as a software development and consultancy company. The company has experience providing solutions and bespoke software for a variety of sectors, including banking, engineering and retail.
Over the years, Computer ConQuest has also developed software tools for in-house and SMB use. The company has recently researched, designed and developed the Rummage software.
With confidence in the team’s technical and development expertise, the Founders took a decision in 2013 to self-fund the Rummage project in order to get it to an ‘alpha’ stage to launch to market. Early adopters are asked to review the software and provide and suggestions and feedback; further versions of the software are currently being worked on to help add features and functionality suggested by users.
