The SJA’s major awards ceremonies has a history dating back to 1949. It continues to present awards every year. The SJA Awards aim to celebrate and promote great journalism. The judges volunteer their time and experience. They have current and past sports journalist who worked/working in all forms of sports media. Including broadcasters, photographers and other professionals with a track record in sports. There are five or six judges for each category. The voting ranking is one to six. The entries that make the shortlist are those that accumulated the most points. The entry with the most votes will be the ultimate winner.
