Why are there so many broken hearted Londoners today?

Worried about the state of your relationship? Well, lock yourself away and turn off your phone because statistically speaking, today, December 11th, is the day of the year you're most likely to get your heart broken. This specific date has been identified by statisticians who monitored ‘break up’ Facebook posts and status’. They found that this date, just two weeks before Christmas is the most popular time to break away from the person who just doesn't do it for you anymore, and of course, save a little extra money around Christmas time - clever, yet brutal.

But fear not, Healthy ice cream brand, Oppo, are here to save the day. How I hear you ask? By planting giant heart shaped piñatas in 5 of London’s busiest locations, of course (The Tate, St Pauls, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge and the London Eye). Oppo are giving heartbroken Londoners the chance to take their frustration out on the piñatas, which each contain 100’s of free 500ml tub vouchers. That means, no more crying in to a tub of fat filled ice cream but instead, getting your not so naughty fix with Oppo - that ice cream brand promoting good temptation to the heartbroken on December 11th.

The idea for Oppo was born in Brazil when two brothers, Charlie and Harry, travelled 1,000km in Brazil by kite. During the trip the brothers ran out of food, so to fuel this unofficial world record, they lived off coconuts and wild super-fruits.
