Staff from Brighton’s leading urban day spa and beauty salon, The Treatment Rooms, have recently gained ‘WorldHost’ customer service training qualifications at City College Brighton and Hove with award-winning Retail Trainer, Marcus Pescod. WorldHost courses are aimed at helping retailers to address the skills challenges of customer service, gain competitive advantage over competitors and improve sales. WorldHost has been adopted in the UK following its successful implementation at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, where it was used to train 39,000 volunteers and tourism staff.

"Maintaining high levels of customer service is something that you can never be complacent about so having Marcus look at our services with fresh eyes made a huge difference",  said Treatment Rooms owner Clare Rogers. "There’s been a noticeable change in all staff and even regulars have noticed that we’re going the extra mile. If you work with the public, especially in a service industry, this course is a must. This will now be part of our induction for new employees."

"WorldHost already has an undeniable track record when it comes to delivering first class customer service", said Marcus Pescod. "Half a million people are expected to arrive in the UK for the Olympics and are predicted to generate £2 billion in tourism so with Brighton being so close to London, I think it makes sense for local businesses to take the lead from The Treatment Rooms and bring their customer service up to the highest level possible."

There are one-day WorldHost courses at City College scheduled to take place on 23rd May, 19th June and 23rd July. For more information, call 01273 667756 (option 2) or email
