Reed Business Information (RBI) has topped the nominations for the Association of Online Publishers (AOP) annual awards with 12 shortlisted entries.

RBI's Farmers Weekly Interactive has been nominated for the online community award, while four RBI sites – XpertHR.co.uk , FWI, Bankersalmanac and Hairdressers Journal Interactive – are up for the business website of 2008 award.

IPC Media gained nine nominations on the shortlist, with its new site Goodtoknow competing for the best launch of 2008 and Nuts.co.uk and NME.com in the running for best consumer editorial team.

IPC's NME.com and MarieClaire.co.uk will challenge the Sun , Guardian , Sky News , Mail Online , VideoJug and the National Magazine Company's You & Your Wedding , for best consumer website of the year.

Among the 16 awards two new categories have been introduced this year to recognise the growth of mobile sites and innovative online research carried out by publishers.
