The Telegraph , The Daily Mail and The Sun recorded their highest number of unique users to their websites in November, according to the latest report from the Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic (ABCE) .
The latest figures from the ABCE show a 100 per cent increase in unique users of Telegraph.co.uk over the past year, as the site clocked up another 1,692,602 unique users last month, breaking the 12 million barrier for the first time with a total of 12,800,627.
A rise of 884,550 (6.5 per cent) in unique users took the Daily Mail site beyond 14 million to 14,415,724 unique users.
Both sites also recorded their highest ever totals for page impressions: 109,278,179 for Telegraph.co.uk, and 115,184,974 for the Daily Mail.
While The Sun had the lowest total of unique users for the month for the five newspaper sites, the site recorded a 26.3 per cent gain in this area, taking its total for November to 11,608,707.
This is the highest ever tally for the website and breaks its previous record for unique users of 10,674,308, which it set in September.
The site also experienced an increase in page impressions, which decreased in October, climbing by 20,372,872 to 215,125,493. The Guardian's site dipped from its record October total for unique users, but remained the most popular UK national newspaper website despite with a slight fall in users of 908,250 to 17,499,508 over the period.
Unique user figures for TimesOnline continued their gradual downward trend since September with a 1.3 per cent fall in unique users to the site last month, taking the website's total to 12,283,080.
With the exception of the Guardian, the newspaper websites also provided a geographic breakdown of their audience with TimesOnline recording the highest number of UK unique users (4,810,263) from the four participating newspaper sites.
In a similar line-up to October's figures for UK unique users, Telegraph.co.uk followed the Times with 4,633,859. The Sun came third for unique UK users with 4,565,060, but had the largest percentage of its total unique users for November based in the UK.
With the smallest number of unique UK users - 4,122,770 - the Daily Mail had the highest percentage of its unique users coming from the rest of the world with 71.4 per cent.
