Womens' lifestyle magazine Red was named Consumer Magazine of the Year at last night's annual PPA Awards.
Red's publisher Hachette Filipacchi scored three wins taking away the top prize for Specialist Consumer Magazine of the Year with Elle Decoration at the awards held by the Professional Publishers Association. Publisher of the Times Educational Supplement and Times Higher Education, TSL Education, took the lead for the number of wins, with a total of four. The publisher was named Digital Product of the Year for Business Media.
TSL Education also took away Business Media Brand of the Year and Weekly Business Magazine of the year, while the Times Education Supplement's Gerard Kelly was named Business Media Editor of the Year.
"Congratulations to all the winners of this year's PPA Awards, who can be proud of being singled out among a very strong field for their innovation and commitment to excellence," Barry McIlheney, chief executive of the PPA, said in a release.
"Every year the PPA Awards reminds us that the talent within our sector is truly world-class and we are proud to represent this vital part of the UK's Creative Industries."
