The Telegraph has launched Earth Channel , an area of its website dedicated to specific news, views and features on environmental matters.

The Earth Channel will report on and analyse a broad range of environmental issues and will include a weekly column by environment editor Charles Clover, The Earthlog, alongside contributions from other Telegraph writers.

Mr Clover said in a press statement: "Telegraph Media Group cares about the environment and the future of this planet. The Earth Channel will not only debate the latest global issues, but will also offer users advice on how to be greener and more environmentally aware in their own lives.

"We aim to inform consumers as to whether the growing number of ethical or environmentally friendly products - from wind turbines to solar panels - do the job they are supposed to, and to provide feedback from readers who have actually tried and tested them, besides giving greater depth to the Telegraph's existing environmental coverage."
