1. Services provided

We offer news, training, events, and directory listings for media professionals and organisations.

2. Advertising and sponsored content

Paid submissions
(a) On signing a booking form, a firm contract is made with Marten Publishing Limited, publisher of JournalismUK and organiser of the Newsrewired conference.
(b) Unless otherwise agreed, all payments must be made in full within 14 days of signing a booking form.
(c) This Agreement supersedes all prior oral or written understandings. Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
(d) Terms, including price and description, are confidential and not to be shared without written approval.
(e) No refunds for cancelled advertisements/sponsored content, though alternative arrangements may be offered at our discretion.
(f) If we cannot deliver due to events beyond our control, we will seek an alternative solution or refund.
(g) All charges are exclusive of VAT.
(h) Payments must be made by debit/credit card or bank transfer. Overdue payments may incur interest at the Bank of England base rate and may be pursued legally.
(i) For businesses outside the UK, full payment is required before publication.

3. User-generated content

Your submissions must not be illegal, infringe third-party rights, or give rise to legal action. Submissions must not:

  • Be libellous, obscene, infringe copyright, or be misleading
  • Constitute spam, incite crime, or breach privacy/confidence
  • Be offensive, threatening, or cause needless anxiety
  • Be subject to legal proceedings or complaints

We reserve the right to edit or remove any material submitted to our website. We do not undertake to monitor all submissions.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use our website to:

  • Cause damage or impair accessibility
  • Transmit malware or conduct data harvesting
  • Use data from our site or directory for direct marketing or unsolicited contact

5. Content sharing

Clients may share content produced under agreement, provided it is attributed to JournalismUK and linked to the original article. No transfer of copyright is implied.
Clients may use our name, logo, and trademarks for reference or sharing/republishing for 12 months from the agreement date. No transfer of copyright is implied.

6. Intellectual property

All content is owned by Marten Publishing Limited or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee all information is error-free. We are not liable for damages resulting from use of our services.

8. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
