There are plenty of great university courses you can take to improve the standard of your writing, but there are also many tips available online, which if practised, can do a lot to help make your stories stand out.
Check out this advice from writer AJ Agrawal at The Huffington Post, which has helped him improve the ranking of his articles in search results, and expand his readership.
His tips include getting your content proofread for spelling and grammatical mistakes, as well as factual errors. Agrawal notes that "good, clean writing not only makes it easier to read, but it means your articles will also be happily accepted by editors of guest blogging sites" – a useful piece of advice for trainee journalists as well as freelancers.
