Interactive images can help you get across a lot of information in a way that's more accessible and visually interesting.

But how can you create these interactives if you're not all that tech-savvy? Thankfully, there is at least one app for that.

Storybench's Aleszu Bajak put together this step-by-step guide to Thinglink – a tool that lets you add multimedia elements to photos, which you can then embed in your stories.

For reporters who want to just add audio clips to images, an alternative would be JamSnap.

This app also allows you to record audio within the app, so you could share soundbites from events or interviews without your material spending too much time in production.
