For tech savvy journalists, producing infographics is easy, but that may not be the case for the rest of us. Perfecting your infographics skills takes time – something that most in the industry do not have a lot of.

To help you cheat your way to great looking infographics, Kat Duncan, senior video editor for the RJI Innovation & Futures Lab, rounded up a list of five handy tools, ideal for busy journalists.

"Infographics building is a skill that some of us just don’t have. If you have the time, you could learn to use Adobe After Effects or, if you have the budget, hire someone who is a pro," Duncan writes. If that is not the case, these tools are right for you.
