Ok this isn't strictly a tip for journalists, more for anyone who has hit send in a hurry and instantly wished they could claw open the internet and catch those unwise words before they hit home. So pretty much everyone, journalists included.
Gmail introduced a cancellation window to emails on Tuesday, giving users a 10-, 20- or 30-second cooling-off period between hitting send and the email actually being sent.
But is that really enough time to regret and retract the epic, angry diatribe reaching your boss/colleague/partner/FOI officer/source? It will have to be.
