Dr Mu Lin is an expert in digital journalism whose MulinBlog has been going on Wordpress since 2012.

In a recent post, Dr Lin shares the "routine SEO practice" that helped his blog double its web traffic from 2013 to 2014 (according to Wordpress stats).

He notes that even some archive posts have maintained upwards of 2,000 page views thanks to them being well optimised for search.

In the post, Dr Lin points out that "proper metadata writing can help people get a quick idea about the page contents and thus will encourage click-through by people who are interested in this topic".

He also includes advice for keyword research and placement.
