if you're new to podcasting, you might be worried about the sound quality of your first interview, or about learning how to use audio editing software to put together your first episode.

But don't forget to also plan your podcast's launch. Podcast listeners tend to be very passionate and engaged with their favourite shows, but before all that, they need to hear about your new episodes and press play for the first time.

Buffer's Kevan Lee recently published a comprehensive blog post with advice for promoting a podcast, based on the research and experience of the Buffer team, who recently launched a social media podcast.

His tips focus on getting your podcast featured on iTunes, the platform that will send the most listeners your way, and his advice includes releasing multiple episodes on launch day (binge-listening anyone?) and running a giveaway to raise awareness of your podcast's upcoming launch.
