Mobile phones are becoming increasingly important for filming as people prefer to carry a lighter device in their bag or pocket.

But everybody knows the struggle of hand-held filming on mobile: how do you keep your hands from shaking to ensure your footage is still?

If you're on location and happen to witness a great event or a breaking news situation, you just want to quickly grab your mobile phone and film it. However, later on you might discover it's nothing more than a blurry clip, lacking the desired quality.

To solve this problem, IJNet's Lynn Parker put together a list of advice to help with filming even when you don't have access to equipment such as tripods.

Her suggestions include downloading apps for a better optical stabilisation for your camera, or changing the resolution and image quality on your phone.
