Trinity Mirror has appointed David Black as new group director of digital publishing.

Mr Black, who was previously director of digital media of the regionals division and has been with Trinity Mirror since October 1999, will take up the role immediately.

According to the company, the new role has been created to lead the growth and strategic development of its commercial digital activities across national, regional and Scottish titles - focusing on cooperation and joint initiatives between the different parts of the group.
