Trinity Mirror has launched a Scottish business news website and free newspaper - the first free business title in it's portfolio. Business7.co.uk will include a daily business news update, business blog and a range of interactive features, as well as business events listings.

The print edition - to be distributed every Friday morning - will be available at selected work places and key commuter points, with some executives receiving copies through targeted 'desk drops'.

"The launch of Business 7 today, both in print and online, represents another step in the development of our strategy to target key growth areas with a multi-platform product development strategy," said Mark Hollinshead, managing director of the Scottish Daily Record & Sunday Mail Ltd.

"The editorial and advertising team behind the launch have done a fantastic job in bringing this new venture to market so quickly."
