IPC Media will launch an online version of What's on TV, its weekly TV magazine, in January next year.

Whatsontv.co.uk will have its own editorial staff compiling a multi-channel film and TV listings guide, TV news, gossip and previews.

The magazine previously launched a mobile service and formed a partnership with Electra Entertainment taking the brand onto Freeview.

Colin Tough, editor-in-chief of What's on TV, said: "We're very excited about the launch of whatsontv.co.uk, which is going to be the online destination for the latest news and gossip on all the most popular shows and soaps on TV. Our readers will love it!"
