Tom Watson: co-authored book with the Independent's Martin Hickman
Copyright: Danny Lawson/PADial M for Murdoch is jointly written by Watson and Independent journalist Martin Hickman, and comes with the strapline: "News Corporation and the corruption of Britain".
More details about the book's contents are expected to be revealed later today.
Watson wrote on his blog: "Very excited to say we've finally finished the book. It's out this Thursday. I have a hunch it will be one of the most attacked books this year."
The book's publication comes ahead of a long-awaited official report by the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee – of which Watson is a member – into phone hacking at the News of the World.
The attorney general, Dominic Grieve, is briefing the committee today on how its report can avoid prejudicing any eventual trial relating to hacking.
