Financial support

I've been there, trust me. When you are starting, money is tight. Fortunately, there are schemes and initiatives designed to give you a boost or emergency income.

One to bookmark is the Journalists’ Charity’s First Job Fund, which provides financial support for new journalists facing essential costs as they begin their careers. The fund is open to those starting their first role in journalism, those in their first job (including those on fixed-term contracts), and early-career freelancers whose main income is from journalism.
