Agence France-Presse (AFP) is introducing high-definition videos to its French and Enligh-language news services.

The HD video will also be available on the agency's Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, German and Polish channels and is part of the agency's expanding video provision, says a release from AFP .

The agency now has 80 video units across the world and produces 1,000 videos a month. The new video service will also provide videos that are compatible with iPads.

"AFP is confident that HD will further enhance its high quality images and sounds, bring more attention to its videos and greatly improve viewers’ experience," says the agency.
