The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) has announced the shortlists for its ninth Digital Publishing Awards.

Winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London, in June . Organisers said that this year had seen "significant uplift" in entries for mobile developments.

Guardian News & Media lead the way, with 13 shortlisted nominations across 10 categories. In the best launch category, for example, both its Guardian iPhone app and its Open Platform have made the shortlist.

In the prize for consumer website, Guardian.co.uk will battle it out against Mail Online; Empire; bbcgoodfood.com; Vogue.com (UK); Whatcar.com; Goodtoknow.co.uk; nme.com; and newscientist.com.

IPC are close behind GNM with 12 nominations across seven categories and Reed Business Information (RBI) has 11 nominations, also across seven categories.

"I'm delighted with the volume and high calibre of entries from all sectors of the publishing industry this year for our popular annual awards," said AOP chairman Tim Faircliff, in a release.

"Even more than usual we need to acknowledge publisher brands and individuals that continue to innovate in terms of services and products that provide effective results, and which demonstrate commercial success in the digital publishing arena." The shortlist can be seen in full at this link .
