Consumer magazine publisher Bauer Media has announced the launch of a new lifestyle title, LandScape, for women over 35 with an interest in the countryside and nature.

LandScape is described by the publisher as "a haven from the pressures of modern living" and will include material on gardening, interiors, home improvement, cookery and craft, based on the changing seasons.

The 164-page glossy bi-monthly title will have an initial print run of 170,000 and a cover price of £3.90. A website will be launched at www.landscapemagazine.co.uk offering additional content.

The first edition will appear on 18 April, and a 32-page sampler of the magazine will be distributed with the Times newspaper on 14 April.

The magazine's editor, Sheen Harvey, said in a release : "This is an exciting moment for us because LandScape is a truly unique offering.

"It is a beautifully produced magazine you can lose yourself in - a calm and relaxing read and an escape from the pressures and stresses of everyday life. It also represents a unique opportunity for advertisers to reach a passionate and discerning group of consumers."
