The BBC dominated last night's Mental Health Media Awards, organised by the charity Mind.

The corporation took six prizes at the awards, which are given to broadcast media, including the best documentary for BBC Four production Sectioned. Mental health awareness site BBC Headroom won the new media category and was given a special Making a Difference Award for helping to change public attitudes to mental health.

A series on global mental health by the BBC World Service was recognised with the news and current affairs prize, while the BBC inevitably won the speech radio prize as the only broadcaster shortlisted. In July, Mind named columnist Max Pemberton Journalist of the Year in a separate awards scheme .
