The 2010 British Society of Magazine Editors Awards have opened for entries with a new category recognising sport, leisure and health.
The new prize will form part of the Editors of the Year Awards, which recognise editors in 13 different fields from weekly business magazines to special interest titles.
Nominations are also being called for in the new business editor and new consumer editor award categories and for the business and consumer magazine Art Director of the Year Award.
The deadline for entries for the 25 awards, including recommendations for the outstanding service prize decided by the BSME Committee, is 29 July. BSME members can enter the awards for free and nominations for the special Editors' Editor of the Year Award will not be charged. Non-members can enter for £145 (+VAT), though this includes BSME membership to the end of the year. More details on how to enter are available on the BSME Awards website . The winners will be announced on 9 November.
