4Talent, Channel 4's training and education arm, is partnering with NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) to offer a series of masterclasses to young people wanting to work in the media.

Inspiration Day Manchester on 26 August will give 11-14-year-olds living in the north west of the UK an opportunity to find out more about working in journalism and media.

Two half-day sessions will cover radio and journalism, as well as new media and video games, and acting, with talks from media professionals and workshop activities. 4Talent aims to take 150 young people onto the scheme, which is free to participants. More information on the event and how to apply is available online . The deadline for applications is 18 June 2010.
