The Economist has picked up the most shortlisted nominations in the first British Media Awards,
announced by TheMediaBriefing
, with the Economist's digital editions shortlisted for best use of mobile.
The Economist picked up four shortlisted nominations overall, including the shortlists for online advertising innovation, consumer magazine innovator of the year and social media and marketing innovation.
Future has been shortlisted for three awards, including social media and marketing innovation, paid content innovation and consumer magazine innovator of the year.
TheMediaBriefing was launched by Briefing Media Ltd in 2010 by Neil Thackray and Rory Brown, as a media business news and information site which would feature both its own content as well as aggregated reports from third-parties.
