International news channel euronews today announced plans to set up six more news desks across the world. The channel , which covers world news with a European perspective, detailed the plans today, which also include the launch of an iPad app and a new internet radio station.

The news desk expansion will see euronews open up new permanent desks in Paris, Kiev, Istanbul, Dubai, Washington and Beijing.

A new team of 20 journalists will also be based at the Brussels office to cover European affairs.

Euronews also announced that the channel is planning on launching its euronews live application for iPhone, iPad and Android in February and is preparing for the launch of the full euronews iPad app in the first half of 2011.
