Facebook has launched a new service which enables users to search for news articles which have been "liked" by friends online.
Users can now enter news stories into the Facebook search field and any article which relates to the text inputted – and which has been 'liked' by a person within the user's network - will then appear in the results and link out to the original article. Earlier this year, Journalism.co.uk reported on an article by ReadWriteWeb which suggested that Facebook had become the biggest 'news reader' service online.
The social networking site could become "a world-changing subscription platform" the article added.
