Mail Online recorded the highest average of daily and monthly unique browsers in February, according to the latest figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic (ABCe).

In a month which saw substantial drops in traffic for the Guardian, Telegraph and the Mirror Group, the Mail's website attracted 2,265,623 average daily unique browsers, up 5.08 per cent month-on-month, and 36,203,372 monthly unique browsers.

The Guardian's monthly unique browser figure fell by 13.85 per cent month-on-month to 30,972,376, while the Telegraph recorded 27,877,409 - a month-on-month decrease of 14.07 per cent.

Along with the Mail, the Sun, Times Online and Independent all posted gains in average daily unique browsers for the month of February.

The full figures for the six audited titles and Mirror Group's websites are listed below. The percentage in brackets indicates the month-on-month change compared with the January ABCe report :

Mail Online

Average daily unique browsers: 2,265,623 (+5.08 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 36,203,372 (+0.91 per cent)

Guardian.co.uk

Average daily unique browsers: 1,869,448 (-3.23 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 30,972,376 (-13.85 per cent)

Telegraph.co.uk

Average daily unique browsers: 1,548,059 (-6.34 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 27,877,409 (-14.07 per cent)

TheSun.co.uk

Average daily unique browsers: 1,388,831 (+6.27 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 21,179,046 (-0.48 per cent)

Times Online

Average daily unique browsers: 1,215,446 (+9.90 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 20,418,256 (-4.43 per cent)

Mirror Group

Average daily unique browsers: 469,442 (-4.54 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 9,183,040 (-13.95 per cent)

Independent.co.uk

Average daily unique browsers: 465,346 (+7.69 per cent)

Monthly unique browsers: 9,544,351 (-1.83 per cent)
