Content from the Financial Times is now available through Bloomberg's Professional service, which delivers news, analytics and data to almost 300,000 subscribers.
According to a release from the FT, the new service, which launched today, allows the newspaper's customers who hold a corporate licence to access its reports via the Bloomberg service. The multi-platform licences enable companies to pay once for rights to unlimited access to FT journalism via FT.com, FT mobile apps and third party platforms.
Bloomberg Professional customers who do not have an FT licence will be able to see headlines of FT articles which link through to FT.com, where they can then access up to 10 articles per month at no cost once registered. Unlimited access requires a premium or corporate subscription, the release adds.
"This agreement opens up another large and hugely significant channel to the FT and means that the mutual customers of the FT and the Bloomberg Professional service will have instant access to the FT's news and analysis to help them make more informed decisions," Caspar de Bono, managing director of B2B at the Financial Times said in a release.
"The FT aims to make its content available wherever our customers choose to access it, whether that’s in print, on a mobile or via the Bloomberg Professional service."
Brian Rooney, core product manager for news, research, message and mobile applications for the Bloomberg Professional service added that the FT was a “valuable addition”.
"Bloomberg's goal is to serve as the ultimate news platform for business professionals, combining our own content with top sources from around the globe," he said.
"The Financial Times is a valuable addition to the unmatched set of content available through our unique news searching, alerting and analytic tools."
