The Financial Times has today announced plans to expand its Middle East coverage on FT.com and launch brand new print edition for the region.
The first full edition of the FT for the Middle East will publish from tomorrow, with extended Middle East coverage online set to follow. The web page on FT.com will also be revamped to include more dedicated video and audio content.
The FT already publishes dedicated editions for the UK, continental Europe, Asia and the US. It will now keep three full-time FT journalists in UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi, for local coverage.
"The demand reflects how the Gulf has quickly become a financial and business powerhouse," Lionel Barber, editor of the FT said.
"And our new edition will cement the region's place in the global economy."
