The Guardian and BBC have both scooped prizes in this year's Webby Awards.
The news organisations joined a host of British media winners at the awards, which saw Guardian.co.uk named best newspaper.
The title also picked up Webbys for its podcasts and Comment Is Free belief section.
The BBC took the award for news and also scooped the People's Voice award, voted for by the public, in the same category.
The New York Times picked up two prizes for best copywriting and best practice, while FT Alphaville was named People's Voice award winner in the business blog category.
