Journalism.co.uk is hosting the first

'news:rewired in focus'

event today, at the Reuters building in Canary Wharf, London.

The

half-day conference

will take a detailed look at social media newsgathering and verification, including expert advice on ethical considerations and risks, as well as tools for helping journalists deal with user generated content quickly and accurately.

Our delegates will be joining us from all over Europe today, but if you are unable to attend, here's how you can follow the conversation online:

  • on the news:rewired website, where our team of bloggers and live-bloggers will be covering the sessions as they happen, sharing insight and key tips from our expert line-up of speakers

The event kicks off at 1pm with a networking lunch, followed by an introduction from John Pullman, global head, video and pictures, at Reuters and a keynote speech from eyewitness media expert Fergus Bell.
