ITN On, ITN’s multimedia division, is to supply news video to the websites of the leading major commercial radio stations to the UK.

The deal will cover all stations in ITN's Independent Radio News (IRN) network, including all Bauer, GCap, GMG, Tindle, Lincs and TRLC stations.

The service will launch on 175 station websites on June 4 with a further 75 sites added by the end of the summer.

The news, sport and entertainment footage will be available to stations for free in return for advertising revenues.

Video feeds to the sites will also include some text stories, as well as special video reports from entertainment events and a selection of 'funny and viral videos'.

"We've been moving our radio and our video teams closer together for some time preparing for this moment," said Jon Godel, editor of IRN and ITN On.

"We're delighted all the major radio groups have come on board. They realise how video can enhance their presence online and broaden their brands appeal."
