ITN Productions has announced Chris Shaw as its new editorial director, tasked with expanding the division's news and current affairs production.
Shaw was previously senior programme controller for Channel Five with responsibility for news and live topical output as well as launch editor of the original Five News service.
In the newly created role of editorial director at ITN Productions, Shaw will also be devising new formats across television, online and mobile.
"I am delighted that Chris is joining this new division in such a pivotal role," Mark Browning, managing director of ITN Productions said in a release.
"His vast experience will be an enormous asset to the organisation and will further enhance our reputation as one of the UK's most innovative multi-platform production companies."
ITN Productions clients include the BBC, Telegraph Media Group, Metro and the Independent, the release adds.
