Johnston Press has promoted Henry Faure Walker to the role of digital and business development director.
Faure Walker will take up the new position immediately, moving from his previous post as general manager of Scotsman Publications, a press release from the group states .
In his new job he will be responsible for expanding Johnston Press' digital activities, including its recent business directory deal with Qype .
The regional news group has also named Steve Brown as the successor to Chris Green as divisional managing director north. Brown, who has previously worked for Trinity Mirror and Northcliffe, will begin his new role on 9 September.
In March, Brown left his job at the Claverley Group, which owns titles including the Express & Star, after just three months in the position. In 2009 his departure from Trinity Mirror Regionals as part of a restructure prompted a vote of no confidence against the regionals managing director at that time amongst National Union of Journalists' (NUJ) members at the titles
